Therapies I offer
Acupuncture
Acupuncture, a core of Traditional Chinese Medicine, is an ancient, widely used therapy that stimulates the body's immune and self-healing functions. It uses fine sterile needles at specific acupuncture points (over 300 classical points) tied to various conditions. Practitioners apply TCM diagnosis to assess each person, identify root causes, and create individualised plans aimed at lasting recovery rather than only symptom relief.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Herbal Medicine uses combinations of plants and minerals to help stimulate the body's immune system and strengthen its ability to heal. Similar to Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine is a gentle, yet powerful healing tool that can be used to address a variety of ailments, from minor imbalances to chronic conditions, with minimal side effects. There are classical herbal formulas that have been tried and tested for 2,000 years.
Cupping
Cupping therapy is an ancient practice involving the application of specialised cups to the skin to create localised suction. This suction is strategically designed to stimulate microcirculation within the superficial muscle layers, thereby facilitating the unimpeded flow of vital energy, known as Qi, and aiding in the detoxification processes of the body. Its therapeutic applications are broad, frequently employed to alleviate musculoskeletal tension, mitigate stress, and support recovery. Cupping serves as a complementary modality focused on restoring physiological balance and promoting overall well-being.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha is a traditional therapeutic technique highly effective in alleviating muscle tension, tightness, constriction, and associated pain. This method involves the gentle application of a specialized Chinese spoon or tool to stroke the skin over affected areas, thereby stimulating microcirculation and promoting the flow of vital energy. This targeted stimulation facilitates the release of stagnant metabolic waste and toxins, allowing for fresh, oxygenated blood to perfuse the tissues, thereby enhancing cellular regeneration and healing. Consequently, Gua Sha offers a non-invasive yet profoundly effective approach, demonstrating comparable efficacy to deep tissue massage in addressing localized musculoskeletal discomfort and promoting overall tissue health.

Noticeable improvements, quickly
After a thorough consultation, I treat wholistically using acupuncture alone, or in combination with herbal medicine and traditional physical therapies. My aim is to improve your condition quickly.
You’ll be given guidance about lifestyle strategies that you can use to help your progress. These can include how to use food, massage, exercise, meditation or stillness to help you manage or resolve your complaint.
I can work with you individually, or as part of your medical team alongside your doctor and other healthcare providers. I am a proponent of integrative medicine and keep up-to-date on other healthcare modalities and resources that may help you.
My treatments are tailored to what you need at that moment, for your mind, body, and spirit.
